Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works better than advertized The is the secone unit I purchased and are cophaysed on my hunting off road vehicle. We hunt 175 squal mile area both forested and in a large valley. Coupled with the 15 watt radio the coverage with over 9db to work with is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong magnet Bought this mount along with a radio bundle and it works great. I have a more expensive mount on my car for a ham setup and this mount works as well as the more expensive one. No movement even after extended high speed driving.

My rubber boot ripped and I would like to get a couple of spares to keep protecting my paint. I could not find them for sale separately on your site. Where can I purchase them?

Asked by: Woody63
The rubber boots are not for sale.

How difficult would it be to connect an already installed coax to this? I have already run the coax through my vehicle and don't want to have to pull it all through again to use this mount.

Asked by: drober05
You would not be able to do that using this specific mount. This magnetic mount already has the coax cable attached to it. It might be a better option for you to look into a permanent mount solution with your already installed coax.

I just purchased this magnetic base.I notice it comes with rg58 cable. The length of the cable is 19ft. How much of a dB loss does this cable allow.I’ve read that rg58 looses 10.6 dB at 100 ft so does that mean that I’m loosing approximately 2 dB at 19ft?

Asked by: Dantemecula
Yes, for GMRS radios that is correct.

What speed can this base support without detaching from the vehicle?
