Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it's supposed to. A simple product made right that performs as expected and then some. We are storm chasers and put these things through winds you couldn't imagine, never had one come down on us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MXT 115 I bought the MXT 115 last week. Does fine so far. The audio is not as crisp as the MXT105 but range is far better. At least 10 miles on flat terrain. THe roger beep is also a bit much and hard to turn off. But overall its a 5 star product.

QUESTIONS

I just purchased this magnetic base.I notice it comes with rg58 cable. The length of the cable is 19ft. How much of a dB loss does this cable allow.I’ve read that rg58 looses 10.6 dB at 100 ft so does that mean that I’m loosing approximately 2 dB at 19ft?

Yes, for GMRS radios that is correct.
