Kansas City, MO – Earlier this year, Midland Radio Corporation unveiled a new Deluxe Control Head for its P25 mobile radios. With the needs of first responders in mind, Midland created the Deluxe Control Head with its integrated rotary volume and squelch control to allow users to more efficiently utilize the FIPS 140-2 certified encryption and other important features of these radios. The 10 programmable buttons allow interchangeable icons, and the rotary channel selector is configurable with or without channel stop to provide added flexibility.
Using the field programming options and the keypad microphone, the radio can easily be customized for individual users. Plus, the radio programming can be cloned in the field through the microphone port. Optional components are available including a keypad microphone with additional programmable buttons, allowing for DTMF operation in either analog or digital mode.
