Competitive Swimming Background
Olivia grew up in Kansas City, and from an early age, she developed a love for swimming. What started as a fun activity soon turned into a lifelong passion that shaped her discipline, determination, and work ethic.
"I started swimming when I was 3 years old and loved it. I did summer league swim team up until I was 12. Then, I decided to really focus on swimming because I wanted to pursue it in high school and college."
As she dedicated more time to the sport, Olivia became a standout athlete. She made it to State each year in high school, specializing in the breaststroke and butterfly—two of the most technically demanding strokes in competitive swimming. Her hard work and commitment paid off, helping her high school team achieve a remarkable milestone.
"We were actually State Champs in the 200 Medley Relay."
Her success in high school led her to the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she was recruited to swim the butterfly at the collegiate level. The transition to college athletics brought new challenges, but Olivia thrived in the competitive environment, constantly pushing herself to improve.
"I swam for 4 years there. I finished my 4 years with all best times and a couple of broken records for relays. We placed second in our conference. That was the highest we ever placed at a conference.”
For Olivia, swimming wasn’t just about competition—it was about the dedication and effort that led to those moments of achievement. Every practice, every early morning, and every grueling workout had a purpose, and she found motivation in seeing her hard work translate into results.
“I loved the competition part, having something to work towards and seeing an end result when you competed in a race. I loved swim meets because I could see my hard work pay off.”
Beyond the accolades and records, swimming at a collegiate level shaped her approach to life. It taught her the importance of balance, discipline, and perseverance—skills that she has carried into her career and personal life.
“It really teaches you how to prioritize things like getting your schoolwork done, practice, balance that with other things like internships and jobs. I think it really made an impact on my work ethic and time management.”
The lessons she learned in the pool continue to influence her approach to challenges today, whether in her career or daily life.

A Focus on Family
Olivia met her husband, Alex, during their time at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where both were student-athletes. While Olivia made her mark in the pool, Alex was excelling on the golf course. His love for the sport has remained strong over the years, and to this day, he still enjoys getting out on the green whenever he can.
In 2021, Olivia and Alex embarked on a new chapter together, relocating to Waco, Texas. With them came their two beloved Corgis, Fitz and Gatsby, who bring plenty of personality to their home.
"I just think they're so cute. Corgis are kind of like grumpy, old dogs that judge from afar. They're not super cuddly so they're just there hanging out with you."
While their Corgis keep them entertained, the biggest joy in their lives is their two sons, Rory and Brooks. Life with two little ones keeps them busy, but they love spending time together as a family.
"We really enjoy going on family walks, going to the zoo, and the children's museum."
Whether it's an afternoon outing or just a simple walk around the neighborhood, Olivia and Alex cherish the time spent with their boys, making memories and embracing all the little moments of family life.

Marketing and Midland
In 2019, she joined the Midland team, diving headfirst into the world of social media and digital engagement. Since then, she has played a major role in growing Midland’s online presence and expanding its reach.
“I’ve worked with brand partners, have done giveaways, collaborated on social posts, and we’ve done a lot of work with influencers to expand our audience by utilizing their platforms and engaging with our followers on social media.”
One of Olivia’s proudest accomplishments at Midland has been developing and expanding the Influencer Program, which has grown tremendously under her leadership.
“I really like the relationship-building aspect of the influencer program. I’ve gotten to meet people from all over the United States and hear their stories. I’ve met some really amazing influencers that I’ve stayed in touch with since I started at Midland. Some of them send me Christmas cards every year or we keep up via text. Building relationships with them has been really important and enjoyable.”
Beyond her work with influencers, Olivia values the connections she has built within Midland’s marketing team and the company as a whole.
“I really like the people at Midland. We have a really good team culture. There’s a creativity aspect where you can really make the role your own.”
While she enjoys the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of social media marketing, Olivia also finds fulfillment in the collaborative nature of product launches, social media campaigns, and co-branded partnerships. Through it all, one Midland product has stood out to her the most.
"I really like the T10 X-Talker® FRS Walkie Talkie 3 Pack Multi-Color - T10X3M. My son enjoys playing with them and it's fun to watch him use the walkie talkies."
