6dB Gain Antenna is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works flawlessly with our GMRS Attached to our Midland mag mount connected to our MTX400 and have not had any issues. Perform better than expected, the range is not an issue. Pretty sure these things could go for miles, we've been ten miles out and still had clear comms!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Upgrade This antenna really stretches the legs of the GMRS radios. It is FAR better than the tiny antenna that comes with them. I highly recommend this antenna. The magnetic mount gives it portability and flexibility, and it works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Antenna for Price For the price, this is a great antenna that I know is going to work out of the box. After searching online and looking at all sorts of other antennas to compliment my MXT275, this one was the clear choice to know that it would just work and help me get the most use out of the radio. It shipped quickly, arrived when it said it would, and is looking great and doing great on my truck!

QUESTIONS

2 questions in 1, do you have a Jeep mount as there is not much metal up high to mount on, also do you carry a spring mount or can you suggest the right one to use.

Asked by: Sparkyhv
Hey Sparky, we have not yet launched them but if you wait a month we will have both of the items you are requesting. It would be a good plan to get added into our mailing list so you know the moment they go live!

Should I go with this antenna or the 3DB one for a MXT115 radio?  I thought I read someplace about the 6DB gain being ok yo use on the 5 watt radio I'm now using and not on either the 15 or 40 watt radios.

Asked by: dallas
Hey Dallas, We understand the confusion, there is a fair amount of misinformation out there. The answer to this question is nuanced and we would suggest you read our blogs on GMRS radios for more info. The short answer here is that you can use either the 3db or 6db gain on any of the MXT model radios. The issue that you might have read is that on certain channels a gain antenna cannot be used (1-7 & 8-14) per the FCC. We suggest the 6db gain antenna as it will quadruple your communication efficiency. Just be sure to be using channels 15-22. Hope that helps! MidlandUSA
