Works flawlessly with our GMRS
Attached to our Midland mag mount connected to our MTX400 and have not had any issues. Perform better than expected, the range is not an issue. Pretty sure these things could go for miles, we've been ten miles out and still had clear comms!

Essential Upgrade
This antenna really stretches the legs of the GMRS radios. It is FAR better than the tiny antenna that comes with them. I highly recommend this antenna. The magnetic mount gives it portability and flexibility, and it works very well.

Great Antenna for Price
For the price, this is a great antenna that I know is going to work out of the box. After searching online and looking at all sorts of other antennas to compliment my MXT275, this one was the clear choice to know that it would just work and help me get the most use out of the radio. It shipped quickly, arrived when it said it would, and is looking great and doing great on my truck!

Low SWR, stellar performance
I use this antenna with a ground plane kit at 20 feet in the air for my base station rig. Putting out 40 watts at my transmitter, using a 50 foot run of LMR 400 coax, I’m getting about 30 watts out of the antenna. I’m able to hit repeaters 150 miles away with this setup at my base station. Excellent base or mobile antenna. SWR reading is at an astounding 1.02:1

Ready to use out of the box
Cheep safe way to double output power for the hard to reach areas. Good for mobile use or as a base station antenna for a RV.

Better Range
After last elk season I found I needed more range for the base radio. This antenna has been tested at our camp and works great.

QUESTIONS
Has this antenna been discontinued? If so, what replaces it?
Yes, this antenna has been discontinued and replaced with the MXTA26 Spring Loaded Whip Antenna.

Will the MXTA11 work with the 75-822?
It will work but you won't get the maximum range out of the radio because the MXTA11 is tuned to GMRS frequency. You would really need a CB antenna for the 75-822.

I am planning on getting a pair of GXT1000's. Can I use a mobile with a high gain antenna as a base and repeater? If so, which mobile and antenna would be recommended?
We would recommend the MXT400 for maximum range.

Will a roof rack mount provide enough of a plane for this antenna. I am looking at the frontrunner mount at this link https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/antenna-mount.html#productspecs
Yes.

2 questions in 1, do you have a Jeep mount as there is not much metal up high to mount on, also do you carry a spring mount or can you suggest the right one to use.
Hey Sparky, we have not yet launched them but if you wait a month we will have both of the items you are requesting. It would be a good plan to get added into our mailing list so you know the moment they go live!
