“I just wanted to take a minute and let yall know. The GXT 1000 series radios are some tough pieces of equipment. My buddy and I were camping the other night and I accidentally bumped my radio off of my belt. I watched the thing bounce across the cliff we were on and fall over the edge. After a good 30 to 45 minutes of looking I finally found it. It fell around 200 to 250 feet from the cliffs and suffered minor damage. A crack on the back of the radio and a chip on the plastic of the battery pack. I put everything back together and it still works. Overall I give 5 stars”
