Top 7 Off-Road Trails in The South

Best off-road trails in the south

Let's start things off in the Southern Region. It seems like the best place to begin, considering the weather down south generally allows off-roading all year-round. And at the very least, the weather at this time of year is going to be a lot more forgiving than what you'll find on trails in the Rocky Mountains or around New England. So without further ado, let’s get to it.

Ozark-St Francis National Forest, Arkansas

The 1.2 million-acre Ozark-St. Francis National Forests in northwestern Arkansas offers endless opportunities for adventure. It is home to more than 1,000-miles of trails dedicated to off-road vehicle use. Driving these old forest roads can range from easy to extremely difficult. Check your routes ahead of time, because in some places drivers will share the trail with hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. With such a massive area to explore, you’re bound to find some of the very best off-road trails in the south, no matter how many times you visit.

Pro tip: equip your rig with a MicroMobile before heading off into this 1.2 million-acre playground. It'll keep you safely connected to friends and family up to 50-miles away.
