KAYLA WIECZOREK 

Farm location: Missouri

Farm type: Alfalfa, oats, corn silage

Favorite song for in the field: "I don't really listen to the radio, but the constant rhythm of the baler plunging or the Granger Smith song, 'Backroad Song."

Favorite part of planting season: "I love working in dirt. The smell of fresh turned turf brings me back to being a little girl riding with my dad, preparing fields." 

Favorite Midland product for planting season: "We use the Midland handheld walkies as well as the MXT in my bailing tractor. Planting season isn't something we do a ton of as hay farmers, but we'll be putting in oats in February, followed by corn silage in May."

 

TODD WESTERFELD

Favorite part of planting season: "My favorite part about planting season is that it is the start of endless possibilities for that year on the farm."

Favorite part of planting season: "The high pace and having both my wife and son visit while in the fields."
