Here's 6 reasons farmers across the country are loving Midland's MicroMobile® Two-Way Radios.

1. Superior range

With Midland's GMRS MicroMobiles, farmers can count on superior range to keep everyone connected and in the know as the day goes on.

When comparing the two, CB radios have a maximum power of up to 4 Watts while GMRS two-way radios, like Midland's MicroMobiles, have a maximum power of up to 50 Watts. That makes Midland's MicroMobiles up to 12 times more powerful than CB radios, perfect for farms of all sizes, pushing two-way radio range to new lengths.

You can expect about 5-15 miles of range with the MXT115AGVP3 15 Watt MicroMobile, and 10-25 miles with the MXT500AGVP3 50 Watt MicroMobile. Ranges will vary depending on terrain, but some will enjoy mileage of up to 50+ miles in some cases.

2. Clear sound

When operating large pieces of machinery and navigating long, busy days in the field, communication is key to safety and productivity.

Operating on the AM mode, CB radios bring muffled communication. That's what brings the famous CB static.

GMRS two-way radios operate on the FM mode. Because of this, Midland's MicroMobiles bring crystal clear communication.

Just as with a car radio, FM mode is going to sound clearer than AM mode, the same applies here.

3. Plug and play

Midland MicroMobiles aren't complicated or intimidating, making them the perfect communication device for those with any level of two-way radio expertise.

With extremely easy installation, farmers can get their two-way radios up and running in no time and without stress. The MXT115AGVP3 plugs into a 12-volt DC outlet.

Additionally, Midland's MicroMobiles include pre-programmed channels, making them ready to use right out of the box.

Unlike CB radio antennas, Midland's GMRS MicroMobiles don't require the tuning of an antenna. This simplifies installation, just connect the antenna to the cable, and the cable to the back of the radio.

4. Versatile mounting

With Midland's MicroMobiles, there are many versatile mounting options that allow for an easy set up that works best for the set up you desire. The radios come with a frame that makes it easy to move the radios in and out of equipment.

Most newer, large farm tractors come pre-wired, making it easier than ever to install a radio. Simply look for the silver NMO cap on the top of your cab, unscrew to uncover the NMO antenna connector. Screw the antenna onto the NMO antenna connector.

Once you have the antenna connected, going inside the cab and locate the antenna cable. This usually is behind the radio insert, in the roof liner or under the cup holder.

5. Compatible with walkie talkies

Midland's MicroMobile Two-Way Radios are compatible with all GMRS walkie talkies. GMRS walkie talkies are most radios you find in any retailer, including Wal-Mart, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Scheels etc.

By pairing MicroMobiles and walkie talkies, the person in the combine, tractor, or truck and communicate with people on the ground, or you can easily hand a walkie talkie to a friend who is helping out for the day so everyone can stay safe while working more efficiently.

6. NOAA Weather Radio

Safety is one of the most common reasons farmers turn to reliable communication, including severe weather and emergencies.

All of Midland's MicroMobile Two-Way Radios come equipped with NOAA Weather Radio.

NOAA Weather Radio brings the latest, most accurate information about conditions in your area, straight from the National Weather Service. As soon as the NWS issues a watch or warning, the alert will come over NOAA Weather Radio.

This gives those working outside on the farm the ability to react and seek shelter if necessary.
