Can you use an extension cable with this unit to provide extra length for installation? Will the added length degrade the sound quality?
An extension cable can be added to this unit without affecting the sound quality if it has a grounded shield.

Could I use this in my tractor or side by side where it's exposed to the elements, or will it get ruined?
The SPK200 has a waterproof rating of IP67, which is the highest level of waterproof rating, meaning it is protected from short periods of immersion in water! This speaker is made for the elements and will withstand pretty much anything with its waterproof design.

Is there volume control on the speaker itself?
The SPKMINI does not have volume control. It plugs into your radio with a standard 3.5mm audio jack and then would follow the volume control on the radio. It is designed to give more volume and better sound quality that the radio's built-in speaker.
