What is the expected range for these walkie talkies?
These have a Max Range of up to 20 miles. Best range will be achieved outdoors in open areas without obstructions, or on flat areas. The "up to" range is under optimal conditions (ex: over open water, desert, or mountain top to mountain top). As with all two way radios, any obstructions between radios will reduce the range.

Do these walkie talkies have a charging dock or do they just require batteries?
These radios do not come with a charger or batteries included. It will operate with either 3 AAA NiMH batteries or 3 AAA alkaline batteries.The belt clip will need to be removed to access the battery compartment.

I need to use a headset with my walkie talkie. Which do you recommend?
This radio does not have a headphone jack port and as such, does not support any headphone capabilities.
