Great starter radios, excellent customer service.
The Midland X-Talker T51 Radios are an excellent starting point when getting into outdoor communication. I use them in Northeast Oregon mainly for shed hunting trips. I have not found a need for much more rugged devices yet and have had a good experience so far with these radios, so long as you aren't many canyons apart. What speaks more volume then the radios themselves is the customer service I recieved from Midland. One of my radio batteries seemed defective and with one simple email to the company they shipped me one out no questions asked! Thanks Midland! I will continue to buy and reccomend this company for years to come.

No complaints
I have had a pair of these for just over a year. I bought them a a local tractor supply store on a whim. I have used these with my MXT115, no complaints. and decent range. I can talk from the MXT115 to home at about 1-2 miles regular in a heavily populated area. I was actually surprised at the range I get in a residential area compared to others I have tried. I do have others that can outperform these but these are in my book a keeper. I like how it tells me the batteries are fully charged and functions are easy to understand. I do have my GMRS license and have been "playing" around with GMRS learning as I go trying to stay part 95 compliant. Great for using on Bike rides, camping or in a group out off roading

Clear reception/high quality
Camping in an isolated area behind a large hill was the perfect place to review these radios. However, with the hill as an obstruction our range was limited. The Midland's instruction booklet is easy to follow, buttons are easy to operate, radio is comfortable to hold, and the belt clip is very tight (exercise care unlatching to prevent breaking). The NOAA Weather Radio is a great feature too. The radios can be charged while positioned on the charging stand or via a charging cord plugged directly into the radio and to an electrical source (such as a portable power bank). We are very impressed with the clear reception and convenience of the Midland X-Talker Two-way Radios. We are looking forward to using these radios during our future no-cell service camping, fishing, and hiking adventures.

Great Lake House Radios
I received these as a gift to use at my lake house to communicate between my house and the dock. We don't have cell service at our home at the Lake of the Ozarks so these were much needed. Now we don't have to run up and down the hill to talk to each other! Work perfect!

Handy piece of equipment
Purchased these radios about a month ago to have when the wife and I go camping to assist in parking the camper and while we are around the campground. They sure are handier than texting or using the cell phones and will save on the phones batteries. Small enough to clip on the belt and not be cumbersome. The weather channel feature keeps us informed of changes to help us make decisions of our activities. Have been very pleased with the product.

Great radio for quick communication
Purchased these radios a few months ago for use on my property. They were easy to set up and use right out of the box. The sound quality is good and they are loud and easy to hear. Excited to try them on some hunting trips this spring!

I would like to get these for bear hunting. I just want to make sure there is a silent mode, so I can hear my fellow hunters and don't have to hear roger beeps. Thanks for your help!
Yep, if you check the manual you will see the following directions:
SILENT OPERATION
Your radio has a SILENT OPERATION mode. In this mode, all “beeps” and “tones” are disabled.
To set SILENT OPERATION, press the MENU button until the display shows a “bP” icon. Select “on” or "oF" by pressing the s\t buttons and push the PTT key or MENU button.

Hello, We can hear complete conversations on our walkie-talkies. What can we do to stop this?
Hello there, you are likely on the same channel. Please switch to a different channel on all radios (same new channel) until you find one with less traffic!

How well will these work in a commercial environment like a big box store? the BizTalk ones are alittle out of our budget thanks!
They should work fine as long as there is not a ton of other radio interference.

We have 4 radios that are used within a small radius. They have been working fine for months, but now they are emitting continuous beeps every few minutes no matter what channel they’re on. Is this a glitch and can it be fixed?
It sounds like you need to replace your batteries. It might show that your batteries are full but they may only be full to a very limited capacity. After you replace the batteries do a factory reset on the radios and they should work fine. If you do this and have continued issues or if you have any other questions please call customer service at (816) 241-8500 M-F 8am-4:30pm CT.
