Midland’s PPG100 Portable Power Station may not come out for a few more months (late 2017/early 2018), but it’s already turning heads and earning major accolades. GearJunkie named the PPG100 as one of its Best In Show products from Outdoor Retailer 2017. Outdoor Retailer is the largest outdoors trade show in the United States, drawing thousands of outdoors-centric brands from all across the world to Salt Lake City, Utah. Next year, the show will permanently move to Denver, Colorado.
With this prestigious honor, Midland joins premier outdoor brands like Yeti Coolers, Osprey Packs and Columbia on the list of 15 products that stole the show in Salt Lake City.
GearJunkie cited the PPG100’s waterproofing, battery life and durability as the major reasons for the distinction:
You can literally sink the Midland PPG100 battery in a lake and still use it later. The 25-pound power station has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it can survive submerged three feet for 30 minutes (closed). The 950Wh lithium battery touts a simple interface, built-in inverter, and storage lid. It packs enough punch to run a mini-fridge for 48 hours and charges via solar or wall outlet.
The PPG100 will be available from Midland exclusively through MidlandUSA.com and select online retailers beginning in late 2017 or early 2018. With the early buzz around this product, demand will be high as the launch date approaches. The PPG100 Portable Power Station will retail for $1,099.99.
