Midland Radio Corporation, maker of the BT Next Multi Rider Intercom System, is set to release a new addition to the system – the BT Remote, a handlebar control pad. Midland is the first company to offer this technology to consumers, and will distribute the product exclusively through Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties. The MSRP is $99.99 USD.
The BT Remote has five buttons on an adjustable handlebar fixing system to accommodate all sizes of handles. With Bluetooth integration capabilities, riders can connect with cell phones, GPS devices, MP3 players, two-way radios, and other capable devices. The BT Remote also has a mini USB charging port. Like all products in Midland’s BT intercom line, the BT Remote is water and shock resistant.
“The BT Remote is very convenient,” said Dave Weaver, PowerSports sales manager. “Instead of reaching up to your helmet, you just hit a button on your handlebar and you’re talking to your buddies. It’s that easy.”
Already popular across Europe, Midland’s FCC approved BT Remote will soon be available at select retailers through Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties. To find out more about the BT Remote, contact Midland or visit midlandusa.com.
