It’s that time of year again — we spring forward! Spring your clocks forward one hour on March 14th so we can spring into warmer weather and longer days! Sad news is, we lose an hour of sleep but we are closer to warmer weather! As we prepare for Spring, there are somethings you should do!

When we “spring forward,” make sure your fan is spinning counterclockwise. When we “fall back,” change your fan direction to winter mode and have it spinning clockwise.

Clean Your Oven and Stove

Over time, food falls into your oven and gets into your stove top. To ensure your safety clean your oven and stove top.

Check Your Lightbulbs

Don’t forget to check your lightbulbs inside and outside of your home. Use high-efficient fluorescent bulbs and stock replacement bulbs.

Check Your Furnace + Hot Water Heater

It’s recommended that you have a professional check your water heater and furnace to ensure that it is working properly all year long. The last thing you want is for your furnace or water heater to go out!

Check Your Pantry + Fridge

This is the perfect time to go through your pantry and fridge and check for expired food! Once you clean them out, you can restock.

Check Your Car

Even if you don't have any road trips planned, it's a good idea to check your car's:
    • Lights

    • Windshield wiper blades

    • Fluids

    • Oil level and quality

    • Tire pressure and treads

    • Emergency kit
